Veliri

Privacy

What Veliri stores about its visitors: no accounts, no advertising cookies, an anonymous visit count and an error report with no identifiers.

In one paragraph

Veliri has no accounts and keeps no profiles of visitors. The site is static files served by Cloudflare. Two small things reach a server: an anonymous visit count and, when a page breaks in your browser, an error report with the page path and the error text. Neither carries your name or an identifier that follows you between visits. When you follow a link to a resale platform, that platform’s own privacy terms apply from the moment you arrive there.

Hosting and the processor

The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) from its global network. Cloudflare processes the IP address of every request to deliver the page and to protect the site against abuse, keeps short-lived request logs for that purpose, and acts as a processor for Veliri under its data processing addendum. Requests from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are handled under Cloudflare’s standard contractual clauses.

Visit counts

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views from a script on each page. It sets no cookies, stores no IP address and builds no fingerprint; it records the page, the referrer, the browser family and the country, aggregated. Veliri sees totals, never individual visits.

Outbound links

Links to resale platforms pass through an address on this site (paths beginning with /go/) that forwards you to the platform. The forward records the page, the platform and the time, without cookies or identifiers, so Veliri can see which pages its readers use. Some of these links are affiliate links: the platform may pay Veliri a commission on a purchase and, to attribute it, may set its own cookie on its own site. The disclosure page explains this.

Listing photographs

The photographs on the bag pages are the platforms’ own listing photographs and load from their image servers (for eBay, i.ebayimg.com). Those servers receive your IP address with each request, as any image on the web does; the pages send no referrer, so the platform does not learn which page you were reading.

Videos

A house page can show the newest videos of the house’s official YouTube channel. Until you press play, the page shows only a still image from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com), which receives your IP address like any image on the web, and no referrer. Pressing play loads YouTube’s player from youtube-nocookie.com, Google’s version of the player that sets no cookies before you interact with it; from then on YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to what the player does.

Error reports

When a script on a page fails, the browser sends the page path, the error message, the stack trace and the build version to an endpoint on this site so the fault can be fixed. The report carries no cookie, no account and no identifier. Reports are kept for thirty days and then deleted.

Email

If you write to the contact address, the message and your address are kept for as long as the conversation needs and for up to twelve months after, then deleted. They are not added to any list.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and comparable laws you may ask what personal data Veliri holds about you, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to a supervisory authority. Since the site keeps no personal data beyond email correspondence, a request usually means deleting that correspondence. Write to the contact address on the contact page.
